In partnership with SF Ferry Building and Voss Gallery, The Tracy Piper presents ‘In This Together’, a three month installation that invites the viewer to explore what community really means. Driven by a message of inclusivity, Bay Area native The Tracy Piper’s goal with her work is to shake the normal narrative up and create truly inclusive work that dazzles while demanding thought, shining a light on LGBTQIA, Black, POC, feminist and tough social subjects, in a magical abstract/realist style.
For everything that has gone on in these crazy times, the Bay Area, we’ve shown up. And we continue to… to show up for our families, friends, neighbors, and even to those people we haven’t met. We show up, we march, we protest, we get LOUD! And for this, I want to celebrate. For the next few months, I invite you to take a look at how far we’ve come, what we have survived and who we looked out for. If you’re able, come on out to the Ferry Building, grab a perfect strawberry from the farmers market, taste something delicious, watch the boats go by… I’ll have three beautiful paintings, reproduced larger than life, waiting for you there. I’d love to see what you are proud of, who you are proud of, and I’ll celebrate it with you. Because on our own we are small… but when we get together… we do great things.
